Kate Middleton - Sky News presenter Kay Burley has told the Duchess of Cambridge to buy a six-pack of big pants, after a photograph of the Duchess's bottom was printed in German daily newspaper Bild. While UK newspapers opted not to print the photo of Kate's butt bottom, the German newspaper has since followed up Monday's editorial with a cheeky piece entitled: “Look, dear Brits… These 10 bums are our Royal moments,” alongside a selection of 10 pert German backsides. The initial publication of the picture of Kate's behind prompted an international outcry and has rekindled the debate about how to protect the privacy of the Royal couple. In 2012, the Prince and Duchess launched a legal case against French magazine Closer that published topless shots of the Duchess taken while she was on holiday in Provence Chateaux. Kate Middleton’s exposed bum has come to Australia. 


German newspaper Bild has posted a shot of Kate’s skirt blowing in the wind, revealing her “bare bottom” in Australia. The photos sparked criticisms, with some blaming Kate for her seemingly lack of care for her modesty, while others questioning the paper’s decision to run the photos. The UK media decided not to publish the photos; hence, they were sold overseas. Australian newspapers and magazines also avoided the photos, but one newspaper refused to follow the media’s “antiquated code of etiquette.” The Daily Telegraph, a local paper owned by Rupert Murdoch, posted the photo in a piece titled, “Why should the media stick to an antiquated code of etiquette when Kate doesn’t bother to protect her own modesty?” The topless photos were discreetly shot from a private estate by Closer magazine.

"I’ve lived a very big life, and I don’t feel my age, and I feel like I was born to be a mother. NASHVILLE star Hayden Panettiere and her boxer fiance, Wladimir Klitschko, are reportedly expecting their first child together. “Hayden is totally pregnant!” the insider tells the magazine. Panettiere, who also starred in the TV show Heroes, has not hidden her desire to start a family. Motherhood is the most beautiful, exciting thing, and there’s nothing that I feel like I can’t accomplish while having children in my life.” Hayden Panettiere's pregnancy has been outed by one of her close friends. The news of the Nashville star's pregnancy was announced by Jersey Shore star Snooki who congratulated the Heroes star on her website today. It's not yet known when the 24-year-old actress and her fiance, 36-year-old boxer Wladimir Klitschko, are expecting their child. 


Wladimir Klitschko is the brother of Vitali Klitschko who was a Ukrainian presidential candidate. Speaking to US magazine in May, Panettiere spoke of wanting to become a mother. "I've lived a very big life, and I don't feel my age, and I feel like I was born to be a mother," she said. "Sometimes people speak about [having kids] like, 'Your life ends - you're never going to be able to do anything again!' Motherhood is the most beautiful, exciting thing, and there's nothing that I feel like I can't accomplish while having children in my life." Hayden Panettiere has a baby on board! With the death of Maya Angelou, we lose the immense wisdom of the celebrated African American author, poet and civil activist. Maya Angelou, the American poet and author, died at her home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on Wednesday. Bill Clinton, at whose inauguration Angelou read her On the Pulse of the Morning, said in a statement: "America has lost a national treasure, and Hillary and I a beloved friend." Angelou’s failing health was reported as recently as Tuesday, when she canceled an appearance honoring her with a Beacon of Life Award because of “health reasons”. The ceremony was part of the 2014 MLB Beacon Award Luncheon, in Houston, Texas, part of Major League Baseball’s Civil Rights Games. Angelou was born Marguerite Annie Johnson, in St Louis, Missouri, in 1928. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings was an indictment of the racial discrimination she experienced during her childhood. In 1993, she read On the Pulse of the Morning at President Clinton's first inauguration, a performance that made the poem a bestseller. Angelou was a long-time Clinton supporter. Actors, writers, directors, activists and politicians shared thankful and mournful notes in response to Angelou’s death. Other photographs showed the same woman without a cap and gown, with a holstered weapon and a badge. Providence Police Chief Steven Pare says the woman is not a Providence officer. Emma Watson had an undercover armed guard with her during graduation ceremonies at Brown University, and a university spokesman says he is unable to answer questions about why. Providence Public Safety Commissioner Steven Pare says the woman is not a Providence officer. 


When asked if the woman was a campus police officer and why the guard was necessary, Brown spokesman Mark Nickel said on Tuesday he was "not able to help." Watson's publicist would not comment. In 2003, Scott Dixon finished 17th in his first race at the fabled 2.5-mile track. Five years later, Dixon would win at Indy. Kimye and their friends and family enjoyed a number of pre-wedding parties in Paris with their closest loved ones ahead of the Italy wedding, including a private event at the Palace Of Versailles which included a VIP guided tour and a performance from their favourite singer Lana Del Rey. The wedding party then took private jets to Florence ahead of the official wedding at Fort Belvedere.

When Godin looped the ball toward the goal, Casillas was unable to retreat in time. Despite the goal, Real Madrid looked to be the stronger team for the majority of the second half, but Los Blancos simply couldn’t beat Atlético goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale terrorized Atletico on the counter attack at times, but the final ball never found the target. Bale, meanwhile, squandered countless opportunities. Real Madrid had five minutes of stoppage time to find an equalizer, and Sergio Ramos emerged as the hero. Ramos headed a corner to the far post in the 93rd to send the game to extra time. Looking to avoid penalties, Real Madrid pushed for a winner, and Ángel di María’s tremendous run in the 110th set up Bale. 


The Atlético implosion continued in the 120th. Guardians of the Galaxy is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film is directed by James Gunn, who wrote the screenplay with Nicole Perlman, and features an ensemble cast including Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close, and Benicio del Toro. In Guardians of the Galaxy, Peter Quill forms an uneasy alliance with a group of extraterrestrial misfits who are on the run after stealing a coveted orb. Producer Kevin Feige first publicly mentioned Guardians of the Galaxy as a potential film in 2010, and Marvel Studios announced that the film was in active development at the San Diego Comic-Con International in July 2012. Gunn entered negotiations to write and direct the film that August. Marvel's comic books have featured two separate "Guardians" teams, the first group originally introduced in a 1969 issue of "Marvel Super-Heroes", eventually getting their own short-lived comic book in the early 1990s. 


The cast of characters includes Star-Lord, played by the amiable Chris Pratt, Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper), Vin Diesel's Groot the tree-like being, and Zoe Saldana's Gamora, who will appeal to "Avatar" fans. The second trailer for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, starring Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper, and Zoe Saldana, has been released Disney and Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy has unveiled a second trailer introducing the motley crew of space bandits and bruisers of the August 1 superhero team-up. Disney/Marvel just dropped an all-new trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy, and it's loaded with new goodies for fans of the utterly bananas comic book adaptation. The new trailer debuted on the movie's Facebook page after a Q&A with cast members Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan and director James Gunn. 


The Marvel marketing team announced the trailer and hangout on Friday, the day they unveiled a stunning new poster for the film, which comes out August 1. The new trailer for “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Marvel’s upcoming space epic starring Chris Pratt, has just hit online… Here’s everything we noticed… Quill is escaping from Korath the Pursuer, played by Djimon Honsou. Here, Quill is casually tossing the Orb. Looks like Ronan’s hammer isn’t just good for hammering. During a Facebook chat before the launch of the trailer, director James Gunn teased that the most beautiful scene in the movie involved Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel). When we talked to Karen Gillan, she teased the, “big, girlie fight” between her character and Gamora (Zoe Saldana). Benicio del Toro plays The Collector, who was first glimpsed post-credits in “Thor: The Dark World.” Groot may be a big softie, but he’s a big softie. The moment we’ve been waiting for since Vin Diesel was cast. Definitely the most disturbing moment in the trailer, as Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) adjusts himself. John C. Reilly is also a member of the Nova Corps, working for Nova Prime.

If the reviews out of the Cannes Film Festival are any indication, primarily comedic actor Steve Carell should demand to be taken a lot more seriously from now on. The actor’s turn as sociopathic multimillionaire John DuPont in Bennett Miller’s Foxcatcher is earning rave reviews. Carell plays an oddly-sheltered multimillionaire who invites wrestler Mark Shulz (Channing Tatum), the overlooked younger brother to Mark Ruffalo’s Olympian Dave Shulz, to live and train as part of the U.S. wrestling team prepping for the 1988 Olympics at his remote compound near Valley Forge. The initial paternalistic relationship turns sinister. Miller who created compelling portraits out of his previous subjects in his last two films Moneyball and Capote seems to have done it again, pulling Oscar-caliber performances out of all his actors. Bennett Miller's sports movie Foxcatcher – based on a grisly true story – is a superb tragicomedy of the beta-male, a nightmare of the also-ran and almost-ran. ("Silver? In the mid-80s, it was home to John DuPont – played here by Steve Carell with a superb feel for the role's absurdity and anguish, but stopping short of caricature. 


So John gets in touch with a blue-collar guy called Mark Schulz (Channing Tatum), a wrestler and gold-medal-winner at the '84 LA Games, who is the younger brother of the smarter, more charismatic and more successful wrestler and coach Dave Schulz (Mark Ruffalo). Mark is used to people talking to him when they really want to talk to his cooler brother. DuPont mouths tender platitudes about seeing Mark's potential and allowing him to emerge from his brother's shadow. Whatever the reason, Mark is angry and humiliated when he realises his new, rich quasi-dad prefers Dave; Dave, for his part, is angry and humiliated at having to kowtow to his new master. Just as in his previous film, Moneyball (2011), Miller here reveals a connoisseur's eye for the arenas and corporate spaces of sport: the training rooms, gyms, pennants, the offices – all the exciting outward show of sports prestige. Miller has a lovely scene when DuPont shows Mark the sumptuously appointed new training area he has set up at Foxcatcher, and with boyish excitement, Mark can't help going into some moves, trying it out. Channing Tatum's Mark is vulnerable and sad; Mark Ruffalo's Dave is smart and professional and his shame at taking the DuPont shilling is correspondingly intense. And Steve Carell's DuPont is a compelling monster – but a monster who inspires not fear but pity. Perhaps Foxcatcher may yet create a new genre to match the boxing movie: the "wrestling movie" – the kind that Barton Fink was trying to write in the Coens' film. It is a gripping film: horrible, scary and desperately sad. Nine years ago, Bennett Miller directed Philip Seymour Hoffman in Capote, for which the late star went on to win a best actor Oscar. Critics at Cannes on Monday were tipping Miller to repeat the trick at next year's Academy Awards, following the first screening of his new movie, Foxcatcher – which features a radical change of pace for Steve Carell. Carell, best known for mainstream comedies such as The 40 Year Old Virgin and Crazy Stupid Love, plays John Eleuthere du Pont, an idiosyncratic multi-millionaire who bankrolled the US wrestling squad in the mid 1990s. With prosthetic nose, whittled eyebrows, yellowing teeth and glassy-eyed stare, Carell's du Pont is an oblique creep, a misguided patriot and a frustrated mummy's boy. Amid a shower of five star reviews, it was Carell's revelatory performance which drew the best notices. 


Carell researched du Pont extensively, reading reams of material about the Pennsylvania dynasty of industrial tycoons and watching the documentaries they commissioned about themselves. Du Pont himself died in 2010, in the prison to which he was sent after his friendship with two Olympic-gold winning wrestling brothers, Mark (Channing Tatum) and Dave Schultz (Mark Ruffalo) ended in tragedy. The du Pont family themselves are not involved with the production, but Dave Schultz's widow, Nancy (played by Sienna Miller in the film), was present for some of the shoot. One scene shows them wrestling in the library at night, at du Pont's command and to Schultz's discomfort. "There's a lot of American male repressed, non-communication happening in this film," Miller said. "It's not a political film [and] does not take a moral position. Miller recalled asking Carell whether he could imagine living without the latter, which the actor laughingly said he couldn't. I don't think characters in film know if they're in a comedy or a drama. It's been a long wait for Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher, which seemed a sure-thing award contender in 2013 before it was dramatically rescheduled for a post-awards spring 2014 release. The film is based on the true story of the unstable heir to the du Pont chemical fortune, John du Pont (Steve Carell). The multimillionaire was found guilty in 1997 of the shooting death of gold-medal wrestler Dave Schultz (Mark Ruffalo), who had trained on his Pennsylvania estate with his brother, Mark Schultz (Channing Tatum). Just as Philip Seymour Hoffman transformed to Truman Capote in Capote, so does Carell in the socially awkward du Pont role — with the help of a prosthetic nose and makeup. The movie trade website Variety is already hailing Carell's performance as an "Oscar lock" (while distributor Sony Pictures Classics has moved the release to awards-friendly Nov. 14). The wrestling is performed at a high level; the two actors worked for six months of intensive training before filming, often under the coaching of Mark Schultz. Ruffalo says the film is like a Greek tragedy fueled by a family fortune.

Martial law is the imposition of military power over designated regions on an emergency basis. Martial law is usually imposed on a temporary basis when the civilian government or civilian authorities fail to function effectively (e.g., maintain order and security, or provide essential services). In full-scale martial law, the highest-ranking military officer would take over, or be installed, as the military governor or as head of the government, thus removing all power from the previous executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government. Martial law can be used by governments to enforce their rule over the public. Such incidents may occur after a coup d'état (such as Thailand in 2006); when threatened by popular protest (China, Tiananmen Square protests of 1989); to suppress political opposition (Poland in 1981); or to stabilize insurrections or perceived insurrections (Canada, The October Crisis of 1970). Martial law may be declared in cases of major natural disasters; however, most countries use a different legal construct, such as a state of emergency. Martial law has also been imposed during conflicts and in cases of occupations, where the absence of any other civil government provides for an unstable population. Examples of this form of military rule include post World War II reconstruction in Germany and Japan as well as the southern reconstruction following the U.S. Civil War. Typically, the imposition of martial law accompanies curfews, the suspension of civil law, civil rights, habeas corpus, and the application or extension of military law or military justice to civilians. Civilians defying martial law may be subjected to military tribunal (court-martial).


It's tense in Thailand, where violence has spilled into the streets, causing deaths, injuries and political instability that led to the Thai army declaring martial law Tuesday. Two weeks ago, after protests shook the country, the country's Constitutional Court removed caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra from government. The people of Thailand are all too familiar with coup d'etats. The military is guarding all Thai TV stations, Thai public television announced, showing pictures of soldiers and armored vehicles taking positions outside broadcast facilities in the country's capital. The U.S. Embassy in Bangkok alerted American citizens in the country to the invoking of martial law in a statement Tuesday. The military has established a security task force called the Peace Keeping Command Center, which is headed by army Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha and operates from the Thai Army Club in Bangkok. At a news conference, the general said he wanted "all political parties" to start a dialogue aimed at ending the political crisis in Thailand, saying the military "won't allow any bloodshed." A human rights activist as well as a divisive political icon, former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, have criticized the army's bold actions. "With the enforcement of martial law, the army is one step closer to taking over power completely from civilian administration," he said. The ousted caretaker Prime Minister, Yingluck Shinawatra, is Thaksin's younger sister. Military tightrope walk It's too soon to tell whether the military's declaration of martial law will ease tensions or heighten them, analysts said. If the military appears to be favoring one side, he said, violence could escalate rather than cool down. Paul Quaglia, director at Bangkok-based risk assessment firm PQA Associates, described the situation as "martial law light." "Right now the military has deployed troops around key intersections of the city. Increased government efforts to improve security are a positive step, Quaglia said. "That being said, martial law will not solve the political problems that continue to haunt this country," he said. Thailand's army chief has invited both sides of the kingdom's political divide to talks, hours after imposing martial law following nearly seven months of anti-government protests. The army chief urged pro- and anti-government protesters not to clash, amid fears of widespread violence as the political crisis intensifies, and added martial law would be revoked after peace and order had been restored to the country. Earlier the military said its action was not a coup. Months of anti-government protests have seen 28 people killed and hundreds more wounded in political violence.


When asked if he intends to stage a military coup, in a nation which has seen nearly 20 successful or attempted coups, the general responded: "Don't jump to conclusions." "We are concerned this violence could harm the country's security in general. Then, in order to restore law and order to the country, we have declared martial law," Gen Prayuth said. An aide said caretaker Prime Minister Niwatthamrong Boonsongphaisan had summoned a government meeting at an undisclosed location to discuss the situation. The military, which put down a pro-Thaksin protest movement in 2010, has staged numerous coups since Thailand became a constitutional monarchy in 1932. Anti-government protesters want a "neutral" prime minister appointed to oversee electoral reforms aimed at ending Mr Thaksin's influence. Thailand's powerful military chief intervened Tuesday for the first time in the country's latest political crisis, declaring martial law and dispatching gun-mounted jeeps into the heart of the capital with a vow to resolve the deepening conflict as quickly as possible. The army action came one day after Thailand's caretaker prime minister refused to step down, and followed new threats by anti-government protesters to intensify their campaign to oust the ruling party by next week. Cabinet ministers said army chief Gen. Prayuth Chan-Ocha did not consult the government before issuing the surprise announcement Tuesday to take charge of security nationwide. Selfies with soldiers In the military announcement, Prayuth cited a 1914 law giving authority to intervene during crises. Afterward, he issued a brief statement saying only that the government hopes the military action will "bring peace back to the people of every group and every side." The anti-government protesters want an interim, unelected government to implement vaguely defined reforms to fight corruption — and to remove the Shinawatra family's influence from politics.


On Monday, Thailand's acting prime minister insisted his government would not resign, resisting pressure from a group of senators calling for a new interim government with full power to conduct political reforms. Competing protests in Bangkok have raised concerns of more violence. Brad Adams, Asia Director for Human Rights Watch, denounced the army move, calling it "a de facto coup." Prayuth said rival protesters could remain at their rally sites as long as they remain peaceful and stop marching. 'We will see what the army wants' The leader of the pro-government Red Shirt movement, Jatuporn Prompan, said his group could accept martial law, but wouldn't tolerate a coup. "We will see what the army wants," he said, warning that the undemocratic removal of the country's caretaker government "will never solve the country's crisis and will plunge Thailand deeper into trouble." "Martial law is just a short-term intervention. Thailand needs to find a solution for the political vacuum," the group said.

Archaeologists recently discovered what is thought to be the largest dinosaur fossils known throughout history in Argentina. Named the Titanosaur, the 130 feet long, 77 ton saurapod has been declared the largest animal to have ever walked the face of the Earth (so far). Recent extraordinary leaps of technology have helped update archaeological inquest, allowing for the scientific field to stave off its own extinction event, ensuring paleontologists will not experience the same fate as the dinosaurs. Using drones for finding bones Many times when fossils are discovered during a construction project, further digging must stop until a paleontologist can come observe and remove the fossil. Paleontologists in Argentina's Patagonia region have discovered fossilized remains of a so-called Titanosaur, which may have been the largest dinosaur ever to walk the earth. Titanosaur was a long-necked, long-tailed sauropod (think Apatosaurus or Brachiosaurus) that walked on four legs and lived during the Cretaceous Period, approximately 95 million years ago. Jose Luis Carballido, a paleontologist at the Egidio Feruglio Museum in Trelew, Argentina, said in a statement Friday that a Titanosaur weighed around 100 tons, or "the equivalent of more than 14 African elephants. 


The Titanosaur bones are among 200 fossils at the site in Patagonia's Chubut province, approximately 800 miles south of Buenos Aires. The site was accidentally discovered in 2011 by a farm worker. Experts believe that the remains of seven dinosaurs and the broken teeth of carnivores are among those at the site. The Million Dollar Arm - The movie version of Patel's and Singh's journey stars Jon Hamm of Mad Men fame and opens this weekend. Patel pitched in just 15 games over two seasons, posting a 5.27 ERA before being released. Growing up outside Varanasi, India's oldest and holiest city, he could throw with more might than the other boys in his village, and at 15 years old he went off to a sports school, Lucknow Sports Hostel, to cultivate this natural gift. Within a few years, Patel hoped, he'd be launching javelins for India's Olympic team. Now 25, Patel is still trying to make a future for himself in baseball. It's a rare ambition in a country obsessed with cricket, another bat-and-ball game that is baseball's distant cousin and is probably as popular in India as baseball, basketball and football are combined in the U.S. But since returning to his native country, baseball has remained close to his heart, and he is in a unique position to bridge the American game with the Indian people. "There is only one person in India right now that has played professional baseball, and that is Dinesh," said Jim Small, the MLB Asia vice president and the man who will decide the future of the sport in India. 

 

Baseball isn't a completely foreign concept to India. The game is played at more than 30 universities, and Little League has been in India since 2008, now boasting about 900 players on 63 teams for ages 11-18. Along the way he learned about baseball, and soon decided it needed to be played formally in India. The federation now has teams in 27 cities around India. The teams, which are semi-professional, play for a national championship, and a national team competes in the West Asian Baseball Cup, which is a preliminary tournament for the Olympic-qualifying Asian Baseball Championship. International success, however, has been hard to come by for India's teams. There are other, more tangible impediments that must be overcome before baseball can become a viable sport on the subcontinent. Supplanting cricket as India's pastime is out of the question, at least any time in the foreseeable future. But baseball doesn't have to win over the entire country. "It's a big pie," Small said. "If you get a small slice of a big pie, it's still a pretty big slice." In 2012, J.B. Bernstein, the agent who discovered Singh and Patel and on whom Hamm's character in the movie is based, said that a decade ago, "baseball wouldn't have worked in India. "There are a billion people that play a bat-and-ball sport, that are used to throwing and catching and swinging a bat," Small said in 2012. Through satellite television, games are broadcast to India on ESPN and other sports networks (according to the Times of India newspaper, 26 million Indians watched some American baseball on television in 2009). American military men introduced baseball to Japan following World War II and South Korea after the Korean War, in both cases during reconstruction efforts. Baseball hopes to open a similar academy in New Delhi one day. "We're looking at the market, trying to learn it before Major League Baseball is going to go in and make India a baseball-playing nation." The most important boost, though, would come if an India-born player were to reach the major leagues. "Whether that turns India into a baseball-playing nation overnight, I'm not sure," Small said. 


Five years after his arrival in America, Singh, who won the inaugural Million Dollar Arm contest, remains the only India-born player in organized baseball in the U.S. If Patel serves to be baseball's leading ambassador in India, then Singh stands to be his homeland's baseball hero in America. Despite discovering the game at an age that most baseball players are either getting drafted or joining the college ranks, the 25-year-old Singh said playing baseball has "become my dream." Even though Patel didn't make it to the majors, the most telling sign that baseball and India could have a bright future together is the impression the sport has made on the country's only former professional player. "I still love baseball," he said. Rinku Singh has an All-American Dream: to play in the major leagues one day for the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 2008, he created a reality show about baseball called "Million Dollar Arm." "The goal was to find somebody with the raw talents to be able play to come back to the United States as the first Indian baseball player," Bernstein said. That story inspired the new movie "Million Dollar Arm," featuring "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm as Bernstein. The show looked for contestants in India, which is home to 1.3 billion people. Problem was few of them had heard of baseball. Singh won the show and $100,000. "I had no clue, no clue," said Singh. What's a ball? Singh's story now has major league baseball actively scouting in India, and while he's still waiting for his chance in the big leagues, his story had already made it on the big screen.

Selanne kept returning to the Ducks for seven straight years after he first contemplated retirement following their only Stanley Cup championship in 2007, each time hoping the Ducks would make another title run. He kept moving up the NHL's career scoring chart, currently sitting 15th with 1,457 points and 11th with 684 goals. Selanne's ice time with the Ducks dwindled this season while coach Bruce Boudreau worked younger players into key roles. "The 2007 Stanley Cup has to be the biggest crown for my career," Selanne said. Selanne has a full life in Southern California waiting for him after retirement. To be honest, I really don't have to play anywhere anymore. With the clock winding down on the Anaheim Ducks' season and, by extension, Teemu Selanne's career, Bruce Boudreau walked over to the future Hall of Famer and told him to hit the ice for the game's final shift. "Let's go Teemu!" Over the next 19 seasons he'd score at least 30 goals 15 times. Having finally raised the Stanley Cup in 2007, he retired, only to come back and play six and a half more seasons. At 43, his ice time had been reduced, his goal scoring diminished. I still love this game. I still know I can play.

The nine-year trophy drought is finally over for Arsenal fans. Despite a horrific start to the FA Cup final that saw Hull City score two goals in the first 10 minutes, Arsenal fought back to win silverware for the first time since 2005. Hull held off the Gunners to push the game to extra time, but Arsenal won the game with a brilliant combination from Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey. After the match, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was overjoyed. The winning goal from Aaron Ramsey came after 108 minutes of a sensational match which began with Hull, in their first Cup final, scoring two early goals. Arsenal halved the lead after 17 minutes when Santi Cazorla scored with a superb free kick. The winner came when Ramsey scored off the outside of his right boot to give Arsenal an 11th FA Cup win, equalling Manchester United's all-time record. It was the turning point in the life span of this team," Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said. Chester, returning from injury, made the early breakthrough after Arsenal failed to clear a corner and the Hull defender planted the ball past Fabianski's despairing lunge. Arsenal were also the first London club to reach the final of the UEFA Champions League, in 2006, losing the final 2–1 to Barcelona. Arsenal have one of the best top-flight records in history, having finished below fourteenth only seven times. Arsenal also have the highest average league finishing position for the 20th century, with an average league placing of 8.5. In addition, they are one of only six clubs to have won the FA Cup twice in succession, in 2002 and 2003. Arsenal also hold the record for the longest unbeaten run in the Premier League at 49 games, and are the only team to have gone an entire Premier League season unbeaten in 2003–04.
