St Vincents On Saturday Night Life

St Vincents
St Vincents
St Vincent's Annie Clark has created her very own signature coffee blend. The coffee is available from St Vincent's website and Intelligentsia's US locations and according to the label tastes like "orange marmalade, brown sugar and lime zest". Clark said in a statement: "I love coffee. Coffee is reason to wake up. I love Intelligentsia coffee. Eager. Expectant. So when my favorite coffee shop approached me about collaborating on a signature coffee, I was thrilled." The shows follow the February release of St Vincent's eponymous new album, which was recorded in Dallas, Texas with Dap-Kings drummer Homer Steinweiss, McKenzie Smith of Midlake and producer John Congleton.

Last night's Saturday Night Live was one long exercise in nostalgia: along with host Andy Samberg, former cast favorites like Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph, and Kristin Wiig all made cameo appearances. The singer—a former member of The Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Stevens' touring band—turned in an off-kilter and impeccable set comprised of "Birth in Reverse" and "Digital Witness," both off her self-titled album released in February. We LOVE the choreography, the synthesizers, and obviously St. Vincent's amazing guitar skills and rockin' lyrics! “Saturday Night Live” didn’t waste any time in addressing the Met Gala elevator fight between Jay Z and Solange during the show’s season finale on May 14. Samberg also debuted digital short centering on a DJ (hilariously named “Davvincii, a clear spoof of Swedish DJ Avicii) who believes in delayed gratification. The always stunning St. Vincent made her “SNL” debut to perform new songs "Digital Witness" and "Birth in Reverse.”

St. Vincent, whose real name is Annie Clark, appeared on the show in support of her new self-titled album, which was released Feb. 21 on Loma Vista Recordings. St. Vincent's Annie Clark has offered a deeper glimpse into her eclectic taste with a new mix for FACT. In anticipation of the forthcoming album, the band has unveiled an extensive run of tour dates via a disastrous "press conference" posted to YouTube. Dr. Charles Corey Scott assumed his new duties as medical director for the emergency department at St. Vincent North in Sherwood on April 1. Switching to medicine, he earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and while in medical school completed a Ph.D. in bioengineering at Rice University in Houston as part of a medical scientist training program. Scott completed his emergency medicine residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Level 1 trauma center.
